Our connections...

A little over 17 years ago at our daycare when we were in

Leominster, on Harvard Street, one of my former high school teachers

walked into our daycare with his new little friend, named Roofer! I was

so very surprised and very pleased to be greeted by my former teacher,

Mr. Caisse!! Little Roofer was a 3-month-old Yorkie Poo with a lot of character!!

Our new customer Roofer with his special dad, Mr. Caisse, became one of our

regular customers. Roofer grew into a handsome guy, and he had fun playing with

his little friends.

As time went on, I decided it would be okay to call my former teacher by his

first name, so I started to call him Mr. Ralph, and he seemed fine with it too!

All the while he continued to bring his best friend Mr. Roofer to our doggie daycare.

I felt so very honored to be able to give back in some small way to one of those very

special connections I had made back in high school, at Leominster High...

Mr. Ralph and I would often talk about memories from LHS, and he would often

say to me “Go Blue Devils"!!

One week ago today, my friend Mr. Ralph said goodbye to his best friend Roofer,

at the age of 17 years & 5 months old...what an incredible life Roofer had. I believe

he is the oldest dog that I have known in my almost 23 years of owning Manilow's

Canine Playground!

Such a very special connection that I got to share with little Roofer

and because of him, I received an amazing friendship with Mr. Ralph.

Thanks so much Roofer for sharing such wonderful times with all of us...

you will be greatly missed...
