Barbara Drury has been playing with dogs since she was a young child and her passion for animals has always held a very special place in her heart. Barbara opened her doggie daycare, Manilow’s Canine Playground in June of 2003. The doggie daycare is named after her special dog Manilow who was a yellow Labrador Retriever.

 

​Manilow inspired her to go after her dream of owning her own business. He gave her the strength and encouragement to pursue her journey of taking care of other people’s dogs and  playing with them to her hearts content! Manilow passed away in 2005, much too young, however he left his heart and soul all over his wonderful doggie daycare. His spirit is forever felt all around Manilow’s…

Manilow’s Canine Playground recently celebrated it’s 20th Anniversary of being in business and had a wonderful celebration in June. A little over 5 years ago Manilow’s re-located from Leominster over to Devens, MA. We  were welcomed so very graciously by the local community and have made so many new friends here. During the recent pandemic, we wanted to pay it forward and help some of the first responders, hospital workers and local food pantry. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible customers we were able to help those who are always there to help others…

The true spirit of giving is doing for others that which creates pure joy and happiness for both the giver and receiver. It is such a joy to be able to take care of and play with so many special dogs and puppies everyday. Their unconditional love they share with us will always be the best gift we can  ever receive…
